Interactive Decision Support Systems for Resilience

Summary

Resilience of Infrastructure is a long-standing topic with increasing importance. Natural and man-made disasters might destroy important and even infrastructure like roads, water networks, and others. To plan for the resilience of these infrastructures, simulations provide important data. Together with appropriate visualization of these data, interactive decision support systems (DSS) are built. On the one hand, using these DSS enables decision makers to plan for resilient infrastructures. On the other hand, the visualizations and animations built with these DSS facilitate communicating results to a wide public.
