In this seminar, we will explore one topic from current NLP research each semester. After an introduction to the topic, students will choose a paper from a pre-compiled list, which they will present in class, followed by a group discussion. After the end of the seminar, students will submit a written research proposal for a project building on the papers that were discussed. Practical implementation of the research proposal will not be part of the class.
