Due Date

Lab Partners

Everyone is required to work with one lab partner on this assignment. Ideally, this should be the same person whom you plan to work with on the course project. Submit just one solution with both of your names on it.

Introduction

The goal of this week's laboratory is to add additional client-side validation capabilities to the example that we covered during lecture this week.

Objectives

• To gain familiarity with JavaScript
• To gain experience with client-side validation

Requirements and Grading (15 points possible)

• 3 points. Modify the verify.js file such that a legal format for a Mastercard number is either (1) 16 consecutive integers or (2) 4 groups of 4 integers where each group of integers is separated by exactly one space.
• 4 points. Modify the verify.js file so that only legal Mastercard numbers are accepted. Here are the rules regarding what constitutes a valid Mastercard number.
• 4 points. Modify the verify.js file so that only real expiration dates in the form mm.yyyy are accepted.
• 4 points. Modify the verify.js file so that only expiration dates that occur now or in the future are accepted. Your solution to this problem should be general.

What to Submit

E-mail the verify.js file (no other files should be changed) to Aron Schneider at wir01iyf@studserv.uni-leipzig.de in one message with the following subject line: verify Name1 Matrikelnnummer, Name2 Matrikelnnummer. Replace Name1 with your name, Name2 with your partner's name and Matrikelnnummer with the relevant student identification number.
