TDDT for PocketPC/WinCE installation

TDDT is designed for Palm. If you use PPC, you might consider using my dictionary databases in MobiPocket Reader format.

[Install SuperWaba VM]
If SuperWaba is already installed on your PocketPC, skip to Step 5: [Install TDDT].
- To check if SuperWaba is installed, do Start > Programs on your PocketPC, and look for the icon labelled SuperWaba VM. If this icon is present, then SuperWaba is already installed.
Go to SuperWaba, and download the appropriate SuperWaba VM file to your Windows machine.
- For example, superwaba.PocketPC_ARM.CAB is for PocketPCs from Toshiba, HP/Compaq iPAQ, Dell, Viewsonic, Fujitsu/Siemens.
Connect your PocketPC to your Windows machine with ActiveSync, and copy the SuperWaba VM file to the My Documents folder on your PocketPC.
Open File Explorer on your PocketPC to get to the My Documents folder, and click on the just-copied SuperWaba VM file. This installs the SuperWaba VM into your PocketPC.
[Install TDDT]
If TDDT is already installed on your PocketPC, skip to Step 9: [Install Data Dictionary].
- To check if TDDT is installed, do Start > Programs on your PocketPC, and look for the icon labelled TDDT. If this icon is present, then TDDT is already installed.
- Even if TDDT has been installed, you may still want to proceed with this section to update your version of TDDT.
Download the Zip file TDDT for PocketPC/WinCE to your Windows machine. Open this file, and extract the appropriate TDDT file.
- For example, TDDT.PocketPC_ARM.CAB is for PocketPCs listed above.
- If you cannot open the TDDT_WinCE.zip file, install the WinZip program.
Connect your PocketPC to your Windows machine with ActiveSync, and copy the TDDT file to the My Documents folder on your PocketPC.
Open File Explorer on your PocketPC to get to the My Documents folder, and click on the just-copied TDDT file. This installs TDDT into your PocketPC.
[Install Data Dictionary]
Download a Zip file from the Data directory to your Windows machine. Open this Zip file, and extract the dictionary file (with the .pdb extension).
Connect your PocketPC to your Windows machine with ActiveSync, and copy the dictionary file to the My PocketPC\SuperWaba\TDDT folder.
Installation is now complete.
