6th International Workshop |
Fuzzy-Neuro Systems `99 is the sixth event of a well established series of workshops with international participation. Its aim is to give an overview of the state of the art in research and development of fuzzy systems and artificial neural networks. Another aim is to highlight applications of these methods and to forge innovative links between theory and application by means of creative discussions.
Fuzzy-Neuro Systems `99 is being organized by the Research Committee 1.2 "Inference Systems" (Fachausschuss 1.2 "Inferenzsysteme") of the German Society of Computer Science GI (Gesellschaft für Informatik e. V.) and Universität Leipzig, March 18 - 19, 1999
Submissions should be extended abstracts of 4-6 pages. Please send 5 copies of your contribution to Gerhard Brewka, Universität Leipzig, Institut für Informatik, Augustusplatz 10-11, 04109 Leipzig, Germany. Proceedings containing full versions of accepted papers will be published. Abstracts may be in German. The final versions appearing in the proceedings as well as the presentation of papers must be in English.

The conference will be held in the Geschwister Scholl Haus, Ritterstrasse 8/10, opposite the Nikolaikirche. It's just a 5 minutes walk from Leipzig's central station (Hauptbahnhof, this is also where the bus from the airport takes you). For a map click here. No. 23 on the map is Nikolaikirche, the conference location is on the right end of the church icon on the map.
Hotel Mercure is on Augustusplatz 5/6, a little further to the right on the map.
Leipzig Marriott Hotel, Am Hallischen Tor 1, is opposite the central station, just go a little south on the map where Tröndlinring and Willy-Brandt-Platz meet.
The conference dinner will take place on March 18th in Coffe Baum, Kleine Fleischergasse, Leipzig's oldest remaining coffee-house which has served guests like Lessing, Goethe, Napoleon, Liszt, Schumann and Wagner. The dinner includes a guided tour through the coffee museum in the same building.
