In 1998 the Graduiertenkolleg Wissensrepräsentation, a doctoral programme in knowledge representation, was founded at Leipzig University. The programme is funded by DFG (Deutsache Forschungsgemeinschaft) and the state of Saxonia. 11 professors from 3 faculties of Leipzig University are participating.

The doctoral programme ended Sept. 30, 2008. Applications are not possible any longer.
